EBSnet announces IPv4/IPv6 Dual Network Stack Version 4.2 Passes TAHI Tests

Grotton, MA

EBSnet, Inc., an established provider of embedded internet software since 1987, today announces the availability of its dual-mode IPv4/IPv6 protocol stack version 4.2. The dual network stack incorporates key attributes of the current industry-standard Internet Protocol (IPv4), and expands utility and crucial functionality for the next generation of Internet-enabled embedded devices (IPv6). The new version 4.2 of the product passes the TAHI Test Suite.

Since IPv4 and IPv6 headers are not interoperable, EBSnet's dual stack offers a unique and flexible combination of networking support for devices that must operate in today's IPv4 based networks and yet be compatible with future upgrades to IPv6 environments. The dual stack handles both IPv4 and IPv6 networking traffic in a seamless and efficient manner. Developed and written by entirely by U.S. citizens, the EBSnet dual stack is in conformance with DoD requirements.

EBSnet's conformance with the TAHI Test Suite provides an assurance of the stack's interoperability among industry standard network stacks.

With IPv4 internet addresses due to run out in 2010, we believe the time is optimal to migrate to an IPv6 stack and are pleased to be able to offer our IPv4/IPv6 version 4.2 dual stack at this time, says Sarah Richardson. We are certain that our stack will provide a cost-effective, state-of-the art solution to the embedded communityť.
